Transient Shelter
Transient Shelter
Banff / Canada - 2006
The ice construction is a small transient shelter set in a pleasant part of the woods. It is made from blocks of frozen coloured water, frozen previously in moulds that were exposed to very low temperatures in the wood.
The temporary nature of the piece is implicit in the material it is made from. During the winter people visited the site. When spring came the piece began to melt until disappeared.
